Dear expats (and not only),

This year’s event Remember with us will almost entirely be dedicated to the history of the former German Nazi Concentration Camp Plaszow which was initially a labour camp and then was transformed into a concentration camp. The event will be divided into two parts. On its first day, 15th April 2016 conference Plaszow. Exploration will be held. The speakers will be historians, museum personnel, sociologists and architects. Thanks to such a multilateral approach the team will try to present as comprehensive history of the camp and its post-war fate as possible.
The second day, 16th April 2016 reminds the former editions Remember with us. For this day the team has planned strolls, a meeting with a witness to history, the Memory Run, culinary workshops, The Historical Museum of Cracow will open two chart exhibitions, present films and photographs (archival and contemporary ones) as well as accompanying events, in which lectures and video presentations. The finale of Remember with us will take place at 8.00 pm in the area of the former camp assembly square. Together we will commemorate all the victims by lighting lanterns together. The Museum of Cracow cordially invites you to participate in any and all the highlights of the programme of Remember with us 2016.

As you can see on the Historical Museum site there is free admission to the following MHK branches: Oskar Schindler’s Enamel Factory, the Eagle Pharmacy, 2 Pomorska Street – for individual visitors between 10.00 am and 6.00 pm. The open air events are free, as far as I know the last year event but for the indoor activities you would have to check with MHK.
