“Exercises are prepared to ensure the safety of the pilgrims who come to World Youth Day, as well as the participants of the NATO summit, which will take place at the National Stadium.” – said Mariusz Błaszczak, the head of the Ministry of Internal Affairs and Administration (MSWiA).
The minister watched in Warsaw departments and entities involved in the protection of both events.
“These exercises showed that the services are well prepared to ensure the safety on both events, during the NATO summit and the World Youth Day.” – said Błaszczak after exercises.
He thanked the commanders of various departments – police, Border Guard, State Fire Service, the Government Protection Bureau and the Military Police – for the preparation of officers. Medical services and the Air Rescue also attended.
The head of MSWiA said that all the services of various ministers must function efficiently, cooperate and exchange information in order to secure the NATO summit in Warsaw (8 and 9 July) and the visit of Pope Francis and World Youth Day (27-31 July).
