From today until the end of August the castle courtyards turn into a concert hall. In Cracow begins the Ninth Festival “Wawel at dusk.”
“For lovers of classical music are waiting concert evenings in a magical place.” – said Danuta Wiernicka, deputy director of the Wawel Royal Castle.
On the first day, July 2, on the Arcade Courtyard of the castle will be the inaugural concerts, “And this is Poland …” and “Marathon of young pianists”. The program includes, among others, Bach, Beethoven, Chopin and Liszt. The concerts will be held on Saturdays and by the end of August at the Castle will be nine of them.
For the fifth time in the festival will sound the work of a young composer, this year it will be a composition of Zofia Dowgiałło, PhD student at the Music Academy in Cracow.
Tickets: 40/25 zł; available at InfoKraków points (św. Jana 2 and Pawilon Wyspiańskiego, Wszystkich Świętych 2), Filmotechnika (in Bielaka Passage, Main Market 9), Paganini shop (Batorego 19) and at the concert place, half an hour before.
