ABB, a company dedicated to technologies for energy, robotics and intelligent solutions has chosen Cracow as the location of the biggest center that is part of the newly established global network of shared services centers. At the peak of the business, about two thousand people will work in finance, information systems, and human resources management. The headquarters will be located at the Mogilskie roundabout in Axis office building.
The center in Cracow is one of six such ABB branches in the world. The decision on its creation is dictated by the desire to simplify the company’s organizational structure and streamline operations.
As mentioned by Hannu Kasi, head of Global Shared Service Centers in the ABB group, the increased involvement of the business in Cracow will be beneficial for both ABB and the local labor market. The company is always looking for new staff.
“Global Shared Services Centre in Cracow is additional proof of ABB’s long-term commitment to a sustainable investment process conducted in Poland, which translates into an increase in employment in the local market, as well as social development. The new worldwide service organization will be a supplier of global processes that are simplified, efficient and tailored to the needs of customers.” – explained Hannu Kasi.
“Cracow GBS will be a provider of high quality services for ABB, and at the same time a cost-optimized unit, a significant contribution to the Next Level strategy of ABB Group. It will be a great place to work, and I am proud of the fact that it was Cracow that was chosen by ABB for the location of the center.” – said Paweł Łojszczyk, Managing Director of ABB in Poland.
